Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds chicken wings
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup hot sauce (like Frank’s RedHot)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)
- Carrot and celery sticks, for serving
- Blue cheese or ranch dressing, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until evenly coated.
- Place the wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper in a single layer.
- Bake the wings for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are crispy and golden brown.
- While the wings are baking, prepare the buffalo sauce by melting the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Once the butter is melted, whisk in the hot sauce and cayenne pepper (if using) until combined.
- When the wings are done, remove them from the oven and toss them in the buffalo sauce until fully coated.
- Serve hot with carrot and celery sticks, along with blue cheese or ranch dressing for dipping.
Notes
- For extra crispy wings, you can broil them for an additional 2-3 minutes after tossing in the sauce.
- Feel free to adjust the amount of hot sauce to your desired spice level.
