Ingredients

- 1 boneless prime rib roast (4–5 lbs)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp rosemary
- 1 tsp thyme
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
- Rub the roast with olive oil.
- Mix salt, pepper, garlic powder, rosemary, and thyme. Coat the roast evenly.
- Place the roast on a rack in a roasting pan.
- Cook for 15 minutes at 450°F, then reduce heat to 325°F (165°C).
- Roast for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until internal temperature reaches 135°F (57°C) for medium-rare.
- Remove from oven and let rest for 15 minutes before slicing.
Notes
- Use a meat thermometer for accurate doneness.
- Letting the roast rest ensures juiciness.
- Adjust cooking time for larger or smaller roasts.
