BLT Sandwich: The Perfect Classic with Crispy Bacon and Freshness

Description

A classic BLT sandwich made with crispy bacon, fresh lettuce, ripe tomatoes, and mayonnaise, all layered between two slices of toasted bread.


Ingredients

  • 8 slices of bacon
  • 4 slices of bread (white or whole grain)
  • 4 leaves of romaine or iceberg lettuce
  • 2 medium tomatoes, sliced
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  2. Toast the slices of bread until golden brown.
  3. Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on each slice of toasted bread.
  4. Layer lettuce leaves on two of the slices.
  5. Place 2-3 slices of tomato on top of the lettuce and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  6. Add the crispy bacon on top of the tomatoes.
  7. Top with the remaining slices of bread, mayonnaise side down.
  8. Cut the sandwiches in half and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, use flavored mayonnaise or add avocado slices.
  • Feel free to substitute turkey bacon for a healthier option.
