  • 4 pita breads
  • 1 cup tzatziki sauce
  • 1 cup chopped lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup sliced red onions
  • Feta cheese for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  2. Add the chicken thighs to the bowl and coat them thoroughly with the marinade. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and golden brown.
  4. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the heat and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it into strips.
  5. Warm the pita breads on the grill for about 1 minute on each side.
  6. Assemble the gyros by placing sliced chicken, tzatziki sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, and feta cheese into each pita.
