Description

A delicious fusion of spicy chicken and savory gyro flavors, perfect for a quick meal or family dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 pita breads
  • 1 cup tzatziki sauce
  • 1 cup sliced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the chicken thighs to the bowl and toss to coat evenly. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated chicken for about 7-8 minutes on each side or until cooked through and slightly charred.
  4. Remove the chicken from the heat and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  5. Warm the pita breads on the grill or in a skillet.
  6. To assemble, place sliced chicken in the center of each pita, and top with tzatziki sauce, tomatoes, lettuce, and red onion.
  7. Fold the pita around the filling, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra blazin flavor, add more cayenne pepper or your favorite hot sauce.
  • Serve with a side of fries or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
