- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 pita breads
- 1 cup tzatziki sauce
- 1 cup sliced tomatoes
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
- Add the chicken thighs to the bowl and toss to coat evenly. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated chicken for about 7-8 minutes on each side or until cooked through and slightly charred.
- Remove the chicken from the heat and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
- Warm the pita breads on the grill or in a skillet.
- To assemble, place sliced chicken in the center of each pita, and top with tzatziki sauce, tomatoes, lettuce, and red onion.
- Fold the pita around the filling, and serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra blazin flavor, add more cayenne pepper or your favorite hot sauce.
- Serve with a side of fries or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
