- 3/4 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the cold, cubed butter to the flour mixture and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gradually add the milk, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently for about 30 seconds.
- Pat the dough into a rectangle about 1 inch thick.
- Use a biscuit cutter to cut out biscuits and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve warm with butter or jam.
