Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 3/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 lb fresh strawberries
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour two 9-inch cake pans.
- Mix flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
- Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.
- Stir in boiling water. Batter will be thin.
- Pour into pans. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Cool completely.
- Heat heavy cream until simmering. Pour over chocolate chips. Stir until smooth.
- Let ganache cool slightly, then pour over cake for drip effect.
- Decorate with fresh strawberries.
Notes
- Use room temperature eggs for best results.
- Let ganache thicken slightly before dripping.
- Store cake in refrigerator if not serving immediately.
