Better Than Anything Bars are rich, decadent dessert bars with layers of cake, caramel, and chocolate. They’re easy to make and perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients

- 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 (12 oz) jar caramel sauce
- 1 (8 oz) container whipped topping
- 1 (11.5 oz) bag milk chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, mix cake mix, melted butter, and egg until combined. Press into the pan.
- Bake for 15 minutes or until lightly golden. Let cool slightly.
- Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over the crust. Drizzle caramel sauce on top.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips and pecans (if using) over the caramel.
- Bake for another 10-12 minutes until set. Let cool completely.
- Spread whipped topping over the cooled bars. Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
- Substitute white chocolate chips for a different flavor.
- Use a serrated knife for clean cuts.
