- 500g boneless chicken, cut into pieces
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, grated
- 400g tomato puree
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp sugar
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Marinate chicken in yogurt, lemon juice, garam masala, turmeric, and chili powder for at least 1 hour.
- Cook the marinated chicken in a pan until fully done. Set aside.
- In a separate pan, melt butter and sauté onion, garlic, and ginger until soft.
- Add tomato puree and cook for 5 minutes.
- Stir in the cooked chicken and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Pour in heavy cream and sugar, then simmer for another 5 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with naan or rice.
Notes
- For extra flavor, grill the marinated chicken before adding it to the sauce.
- Adjust chili powder to control the spice level.
- Use full-fat yogurt and cream for a richer taste.
