Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
  2. Dip chicken pieces in buttermilk, then coat with the flour mixture.
  3. Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Fry chicken in batches for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
