Description

A hearty and delicious dish featuring cheese-filled tortellini in a rich tomato basil sauce, served with crispy garlic bread.


Ingredients

  • 1 package (9 oz) cheese tortellini
  • 2 cups tomato basil pasta sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 4 slices French bread
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Cook tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
  3. Pour in tomato basil sauce and simmer for 5 minutes. Stir in cooked tortellini.
  4. Season with salt, pepper, and fresh basil.
  5. For garlic bread, mix melted butter with garlic powder. Brush onto bread slices and toast until golden.
  6. Serve tortellini with garlic bread on the side.

Notes

  • Use fresh basil for the best flavor.
  • Add grated Parmesan on top before serving if desired.
