- 2 tablespoons shawarma spice blend
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 pita breads or flatbreads
- 1 cup lettuce, shredded
- 1 tomato, diced
- 1 cucumber, sliced
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup tahini sauce or garlic sauce
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the olive oil, shawarma spice blend, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Add the sliced beef and mix well to coat.
- Cover and marinate the beef in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
- Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated beef for about 5-7 minutes, or until browned and cooked through.
- Warm the pita breads or flatbreads on a skillet or in the oven.
- Assemble the sandwiches by placing the cooked beef in the center of each pita or flatbread.
- Top with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, red onion, and drizzle with tahini sauce or garlic sauce.
- Wrap the pita around the filling and serve immediately.
