A delicious and savory beef shawarma wrapped in soft pita bread, filled with fresh vegetables and a tangy sauce.

- 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 2 teaspoons ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 pita breads
- 1 cup lettuce, shredded
- 1 tomato, diced
- 1 cucumber, diced
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup tahini sauce or garlic sauce
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine olive oil, cumin, coriander, paprika, turmeric, cinnamon, salt, and pepper. Add the sliced beef and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Warm the pita bread in a separate pan or microwave.
- To assemble, place a portion of cooked beef in the center of each pita.
- Top with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, red onion, and drizzle with tahini or garlic sauce.
- Wrap the pita around the filling and serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the beef overnight.
- Feel free to add other toppings like pickles or hot sauce.
