Description

A simple and delicious beef roast cooked in a crockpot.


Ingredients

  • 3 pounds beef roast
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 carrots, sliced
  • 3 potatoes, chopped
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Brown the beef roast on all sides.
  3. Place the chopped onion, garlic, carrots, and potatoes in the crockpot.
  4. Add the browned beef roast on top of the vegetables.
  5. Pour the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce over the roast.
  6. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until tender.

Notes

  • For thicker gravy, remove the roast and blend the liquid.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables like celery or mushrooms.
