- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
Instructions
- Slice the beef into thin strips for jerky.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, smoked paprika, and brown sugar to create the marinade.
- Marinate the beef strips in the mixture for at least 4 hours or overnight for better flavor.
- Preheat the dehydrator or oven to 160°F (70°C).
- Arrange the marinated beef strips in a single layer on the dehydrator trays or a baking sheet.
- Dehydrate the beef for 4-6 hours until it is dry and chewy but not brittle.
- While the jerky is drying, prepare the trail mix by combining mixed nuts and dried fruits in a bowl.
- Once the jerky is done, let it cool before mixing it into the trail mix.
- Store the Beef Jerky and Trail Mix in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
