Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of beef (flank steak or sirloin)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Instructions

  1. Slice the beef into thin strips against the grain.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and smoked paprika.
  3. Add the beef strips to the marinade and coat well.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for 6 to 24 hours.
  5. Preheat the oven to 175°F (80°C).
  6. Place beef strips on a wire rack over a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 4 to 6 hours until dry and chewy.
  8. Let cool and store in an airtight container.
