Description

A simple and tasty beef jerky recipe made using a dehydrator.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of beef (flank steak or sirloin)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Slice the beef into thin strips against the grain.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and red pepper flakes.
  3. Add the beef strips to the marinade and coat thoroughly.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight.
  5. Remove beef from marinade and pat dry with paper towels.
  6. Place the beef strips in a single layer on the dehydrator trays.
  7. Set the dehydrator to 160°F (70°C) and dry for 4-6 hours.
  8. Check for desired dryness and store in an airtight container.
