A hearty beef casserole that is perfect for family dinners.

- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (28 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup carrots, sliced
- 1 cup potatoes, diced
- 1 cup green beans, chopped
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with onion and garlic.
- Drain excess fat from the skillet.
- Add tomatoes, beef broth, carrots, potatoes, green beans, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and thyme.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and cover with foil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour.
- Remove the foil, sprinkle cheese on top, and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
Notes
- Serve with crusty bread.
- Can be made a day ahead and reheated.
- Feel free to add your favorite vegetables.
