A quick and healthy stir-fry with tender beef, fresh vegetables, and a savory sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced thin
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix beef with soy sauce and cornstarch. Let sit for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a wok or large pan over high heat. Add beef and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add garlic, bell pepper, carrot, and broccoli. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Return beef to the pan. Add oyster sauce, brown sugar, and water. Stir well and cook for 2 more minutes.
  5. Serve hot with rice or noodles.

Notes

  • Use any vegetables of your choice.
  • For extra heat, add chili flakes or diced chilies.
