Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 racks of baby back ribs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium heat (about 300°F).
  2. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor and tenderness.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  4. Rub the spice mixture all over the ribs, ensuring they are well coated.
  5. Place the ribs on the grill, bone side down, and cook for about 2 hours, flipping occasionally and basting with BBQ sauce during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
  6. Once the ribs are tender and have a nice glaze, remove them from the grill.
  7. Let them rest for 10 minutes before cutting and serving.

Notes

  • Feel free to adjust the spice levels to your preference.
  • For a smoky flavor, you can add wood chips to the grill.
  • These ribs can also be cooked in the oven at 275°F for 2.5 to 3 hours if grilling isn’t an option.
