Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef (80/20 for best flavor)
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce (plus extra for serving)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Lettuce leaves
- Tomato slices

Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, BBQ sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Form the mixture into 4 equal patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.
- Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes, or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
- During the last minute of cooking, top each patty with shredded cheddar cheese and close the grill lid to melt the cheese.
- Remove the patties from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
- Assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a bun and topping with additional BBQ sauce, lettuce, tomato, and pickles.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the patties in BBQ sauce for 30 minutes before grilling.
- Feel free to customize toppings based on your preferences.
