Ingredients
Scale
- 2 racks baby back ribs
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
- 1 cup BBQ sauce (your choice)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs if not already done.
- In a small bowl, mix together the paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
- Rub the spice mixture all over the ribs, ensuring to cover both sides.
- Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, bone side down.
- Cover the ribs with another piece of aluminum foil, sealing the edges.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the ribs are tender.
- Remove the ribs from the oven and discard the top piece of foil.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Brush the BBQ sauce generously over the ribs.
- Grill the ribs for about 5-7 minutes on each side, brushing more sauce as desired, until caramelized and heated through.
- Remove from the grill, let rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the ribs overnight with the spice rub.
- You can also cook the ribs in a slow cooker on low for about 6-8 hours instead of baking.
- Feel free to use your favorite homemade or store-bought BBQ sauce.
