  • Author: ushinzomr
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

Delicious and tender BBQ baby back ribs that are perfectly seasoned and smothered in your favorite barbecue sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 racks baby back ribs
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (your choice)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs if not already done.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  4. Rub the spice mixture all over the ribs, ensuring to cover both sides.
  5. Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, bone side down.
  6. Cover the ribs with another piece of aluminum foil, sealing the edges.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the ribs are tender.
  8. Remove the ribs from the oven and discard the top piece of foil.
  9. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  10. Brush the BBQ sauce generously over the ribs.
  11. Grill the ribs for about 5-7 minutes on each side, brushing more sauce as desired, until caramelized and heated through.
  12. Remove from the grill, let rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the ribs overnight with the spice rub.
  • You can also cook the ribs in a slow cooker on low for about 6-8 hours instead of baking.
  • Feel free to use your favorite homemade or store-bought BBQ sauce.
