Description
Juicy and tender baby back ribs slathered in a homemade barbecue sauce, perfect for grilling.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 racks of baby back ribs
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 2 cups barbecue sauce (homemade or store-bought)
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium heat (about 300°F).
- In a small bowl, mix together paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
- Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs. Pat the ribs dry with paper towels.
- Rub the spice mixture all over both sides of the ribs.
- Place the ribs on the grill, bone side down. Close the lid and cook for 2-2.5 hours, basting with barbecue sauce every 30 minutes.
- After 2 hours, check for tenderness. The ribs should be tender and the meat should have pulled back from the bones.
- Once done, remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Serve with additional barbecue sauce on the side.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the ribs in the spice rub overnight.
- Adjust the cayenne pepper to your heat preference.
