Description

Juicy and tender baby back ribs slathered in a homemade barbecue sauce, perfect for grilling.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 racks of baby back ribs
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 2 cups barbecue sauce (homemade or store-bought)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium heat (about 300°F).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  3. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs. Pat the ribs dry with paper towels.
  4. Rub the spice mixture all over both sides of the ribs.
  5. Place the ribs on the grill, bone side down. Close the lid and cook for 2-2.5 hours, basting with barbecue sauce every 30 minutes.
  6. After 2 hours, check for tenderness. The ribs should be tender and the meat should have pulled back from the bones.
  7. Once done, remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  8. Serve with additional barbecue sauce on the side.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the ribs in the spice rub overnight.
  • Adjust the cayenne pepper to your heat preference.
