  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Oil for frying
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp Sriracha sauce
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Soak shrimp in buttermilk for 10 minutes.
  2. Mix cornstarch, flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Dredge shrimp in the flour mixture, shaking off excess.
  4. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Fry shrimp in batches for 2-3 minutes until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, honey, and rice vinegar.
  7. Toss fried shrimp in the sauce.
  8. Garnish with green onions before serving.
