A healthy banana bread recipe made with whole ingredients.
Ingredients

- 3 ripe bananas
- 1/3 cup melted coconut oil
- 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, mash the bananas.
- Add melted coconut oil, honey, eggs, and vanilla to the bowl. Mix well.
- Stir in baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- Gradually add whole wheat flour. Mix until just combined.
- If using, fold in walnuts.
- Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
- Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let it cool before slicing.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container.
- Best enjoyed fresh but can be frozen.
- Adjust sweetness based on banana ripeness.
