- 1 pound ground beef
- 12 ounces ziti pasta
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook ziti pasta according to package instructions; drain.
- In a skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat; drain excess fat.
- Add marinara sauce, ricotta cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to the beef; mix well.
- Combine cooked ziti with the beef mixture.
- In a baking dish, layer half of the ziti mixture, then half of the mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat layers and top with Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
- Let it cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Feel free to add vegetables like bell peppers or spinach.
- This dish can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator.
- For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes.
