- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 12 ounces ziti pasta
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the ziti pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked.
- Drain excess fat from the skillet and add marinara sauce to the ground beef.
- Stir in Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked ziti, meat sauce, ricotta cheese, and half of the mozzarella cheese.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread it evenly.
- Top with the remaining mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let the baked ziti rest for a few minutes before serving.
