Description

A simple, hearty baked pasta dish with sausage, tomato sauce, and cheese for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Italian sausage
  • 12 oz pasta (penne or rigatoni)
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook pasta according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  3. Heat olive oil in a pan, add onion and garlic, and sauté until soft.
  4. Add sausage, breaking it into small pieces, and cook until browned.
  5. Mix in marinara sauce, basil, salt, and pepper.
  6. Combine cooked pasta with the sausage mixture in a baking dish.
  7. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
  8. Bake for 20 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
