- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- to taste salt
- to taste black pepper
- for garnish (optional) fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally.
- Reduce the heat to low and gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Remove from heat and serve immediately over pasta or as desired. Garnish with fresh parsley if using.
