- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 1/2 cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
- Reduce the heat to low and add the grated Parmesan cheese. Stir continuously until the cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Season the sauce with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Add the cooked fettuccine to the sauce and toss to coat the pasta evenly.
- Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider adding minced garlic when melting the butter.
