A simple and delicious whole chicken cooked in an air fryer for crispy skin and juicy meat.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 whole chicken (3–4 lbs)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
Instructions
- Pat the chicken dry with paper towels.
- Rub olive oil all over the chicken.
- Mix salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Season the chicken evenly.
- Preheat the air fryer to 360°F (180°C).
- Place the chicken in the air fryer basket breast-side down.
- Cook for 30 minutes.
- Flip the chicken breast-side up and cook for another 20-25 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let rest for 10 minutes before carving.
Notes
- Use kitchen twine to tie the legs for even cooking.
- Check the chicken’s temperature with a meat thermometer.
- Adjust cooking time based on the size of the chicken.
