- 1 whole chicken (about 4–5 pounds)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1 lemon, quartered
- Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 360°F (182°C).
- Pat the chicken dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
- In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, thyme, and rosemary to create a seasoning mixture.
- Rub the seasoning mixture all over the chicken, making sure to get it under the skin and inside the cavity.
- Stuff the cavity of the chicken with the quartered lemon.
- Place the chicken in the air fryer basket, breast side down.
- Cook for 30 minutes, then carefully flip the chicken over to breast side up.
- Continue cooking for an additional 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before carving.
- Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve.

- For added flavor, you can marinate the chicken overnight with the seasoning mix.
