Description

Crispy air-fried chicken breasts stuffed with melted mozzarella, topped with marinara sauce and Parmesan cheese. A quick and easy dinner ready in 30 minutes.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup Italian breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 375°F.
  2. Cut a pocket into each chicken breast, being careful not to cut through completely.
  3. Stuff each pocket with 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese.
  4. In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  5. Dip each chicken breast in beaten egg, then coat with breadcrumb mixture.
  6. Place chicken in air fryer basket and spray lightly with cooking spray.
  7. Cook for 12 minutes, flip, spray again, and cook another 8 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  8. Top with marinara sauce and remaining mozzarella, cook 1 more minute to melt cheese.

Notes

  • Use a meat thermometer to check doneness.
  • For extra crispiness, spray breaded chicken lightly with oil.
