Ingredients
Scale
- 4 large russet potatoes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.
- Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. This helps them become crispier.
- Drain and pat the potatoes dry with a clean kitchen towel.
- In a large bowl, toss the dried potato strips with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the potato strips in the air fryer basket in a single layer, working in batches if necessary.
- Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the fries are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the air fryer and sprinkle with fresh parsley if desired. Serve hot.
Notes
- For extra crispy fries, make sure to soak the potatoes for at least 30 minutes.
- Adjust the cooking time based on how crispy you like your fries.
- Feel free to experiment with different seasonings, such as cayenne pepper or Italian seasoning.
