Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon (for coating)
  • 1/4 cup additional sugar (for coating)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, mix the milk, eggs, and vanilla extract until combined.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
  4. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and gently knead for a few seconds until it comes together.
  5. Roll out the dough to about 1/2 inch thick. Use a donut cutter or two round cookie cutters to cut out donuts.
  6. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with non-stick spray.
  8. Place the donuts in the basket, ensuring they are not touching. You may need to do this in batches.
  9. Air fry the donuts for 5-6 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
  10. While the donuts are cooking, mix the cinnamon and sugar in a bowl.
  11. Once the donuts are done, remove them from the air fryer and immediately coat them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.

Notes

  • You can use a variety of toppings such as glaze, frosting, or sprinkles for extra flavor.
  • For filled donuts, you can add a filling of your choice after air frying.
