- 4 cube steaks
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- In a shallow dish, combine salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
- In another shallow dish, add flour. In a third dish, place the beaten egg. In a fourth dish, add the breadcrumbs.
- Dredge each cube steak in the flour, shaking off excess. Then dip into the beaten egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
- Lightly spray both sides of the breaded cube steaks with cooking spray.
- Place the cube steaks in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the steaks are golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 145°F or 63°C).
- Remove from air fryer and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the cube steaks in your favorite marinade for a few hours before breading.
- Serve with your choice of sides, such as mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables.
