A quick and easy Air Fryer Crispy Chicken Parmesan recipe that’s crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Perfect for a weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the chicken breasts in half horizontally to make thinner pieces.
  3. In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  4. In another bowl, whisk the egg and water.
  5. Dip each chicken piece in the egg mixture, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
  6. Place the coated chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Spray lightly with cooking spray.
  7. Air fry for 10 minutes, flip, and spray again. Cook for another 5 minutes.
  8. Top each piece with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese. Air fry for 2 more minutes until the cheese melts.
  9. Serve hot.

  • Use panko breadcrumbs for extra crispiness.
  • Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before cutting to keep it juicy.
