Description
Crispy and juicy air fryer chicken tenders that are easy to make and perfect for a quick meal or snack.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound chicken tenders
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (Panko or regular)
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine buttermilk, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken tenders and marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight in the refrigerator.
- In a shallow dish, place the flour. In another shallow dish, place the breadcrumbs.
- Remove the chicken tenders from the marinade, letting the excess drip off. Dredge each tender in flour, then dip in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing to adhere.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
- Arrange the chicken tenders in a single layer in the air fryer basket, working in batches if necessary. Lightly spray the tops with cooking spray.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C).
- Remove from the air fryer and let rest for a few minutes. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
