Description

Crispy and tender chicken schnitzel made easily in the air fryer. This recipe gives you juicy chicken with a golden crust without deep frying.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for spraying)

Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Butterfly chicken breasts and pound them to even thickness.
  3. Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Coat each chicken piece in flour, then egg, then breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Lightly spray both sides of the chicken with olive oil.
  6. Place chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  7. Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

Notes

  • Do not overcrowd the air fryer for even cooking.
  • For extra crispiness, spray more oil before flipping.
