  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for spice)
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a shallow dish, combine cornmeal, flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  3. Pour buttermilk into another shallow dish.
  4. Dip each catfish fillet into the buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off, then dredge in the cornmeal mixture, pressing to adhere.
  5. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place the coated catfish fillets in a single layer in the basket.
  6. Spray the tops of the fillets lightly with cooking spray.
  7. Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the fillets are golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Remove from the air fryer and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
