  • 4 catfish fillets
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Soak the catfish fillets in buttermilk for at least 15 minutes.
  3. In a shallow bowl, mix the cornmeal, flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
  4. Remove each fillet from the buttermilk and let the excess drip off. Dredge the fillets in the cornmeal mixture, ensuring they are well coated.
  5. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place the coated fillets in the basket in a single layer, making sure they are not overcrowded.
  6. Spray the tops of the fillets lightly with cooking spray.
  7. Cook in the air fryer for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the catfish is golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Serve immediately with your favorite sides.
