- 1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, toss the trimmed asparagus with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes until evenly coated.
- Place the asparagus in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Make sure not to overcrowd the basket for even cooking.
- Air fry the asparagus for 7-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the asparagus is crispy and tender.
- If using, sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the asparagus during the last 2 minutes of cooking.
- Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, you can cook the asparagus for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Feel free to customize the seasoning to your taste. Lemon zest or balsamic glaze can also be great additions!
