Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, grated
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Coat chicken pieces in cornstarch, then dip in beaten eggs.
  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Fry chicken until golden and crispy, about 4-5 minutes per side. Set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add orange juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Return chicken to the pan, toss with sauce until well coated.
  5. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

  • For extra crispiness, double-fry the chicken.
