Ingredients

- 2 filet mignon steaks
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon rosemary, chopped
- 1 cup red wine
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup asparagus, trimmed
- 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Season the steaks with salt, pepper, and rosemary.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side.
- Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Transfer the skillet to the oven and roast for 5-7 minutes for medium-rare.
- In the same skillet, add red wine and reduce by half.
- Meanwhile, sauté asparagus in butter until tender.
- Plate the steak with asparagus and drizzle with red wine reduction.
Notes
- Let the steak rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- Pair with a side salad for a complete meal.
- Choose a good quality red wine for the sauce.
