Delicious cupcakes perfect for Valentine’s Day.
Ingredients

- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 2 tbsp milk
- Red food coloring
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add oil, buttermilk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- Pour batter into cupcake liners, filling each 2/3 full.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes. Check with a toothpick.
- Let cupcakes cool completely.
- In another bowl, beat powdered sugar and butter until fluffy.
- Add milk and red food coloring. Mix well.
- Frost cooled cupcakes with the mixture.
Notes
- Use heart-shaped sprinkles for decoration.
- Store in an airtight container.
- Can be made a day in advance.
